How much time does an online course require?

Expect to spend 9-15 hours per week working on the course, depending on whether the course is an undergraduate or graduate level course, or what the course credit hours are (for example, 3, 4 or 5). Online learning does not take fewer hours per week than a regular course but you do get to work during the hours that work best for you. Plan to work on the course at least 5 out of 7 days for the best learning to occur.

High school students should also expect to spend about the same amount of time per week as you would in class, or you may choose to spend more hours and accelerate course completion.
